About the Course

This is a practically based module. The course format is comprised of live practical lectures. This recently updated module combines contemporary research of muscle action both as stabilizers and mobilizers and introduces a unique assortment of exercises to facilitate and enrich functional movement.

This continued educational course is offered as a compact module only

The compact module is offered once a year and lectures held over one weekend, Saturday and Sunday.

Outcome of Course

After successfully completing this practical module, the learner will be eligible to teach and design functional conditioning exercises for both aerobic group- fitness classes or for individual rehabilitative training sessions.

Prior Learning Required

  • Level 1 Certification – Exercise Science or equivalent allied health field degree / diploma
  • Aerobics Instructor or Personal Fitness Trainer

  • Life-skill Core Conditioning Training Principles
  • Mobilizing and Stabilizing Exercises
  • Stretching and Flexibility
  • Cross Apparatus including elastic bands, balls, and steps.
  • Psycho-anatomy
  • Class Design

Exams

  • Written Examination
  • Practical Examination
  • Pass mark 60%
